 1.GCS LOW VOLTAGE DRAWOUT SITCHGEAR

     CGCS type low voltage drawout switch cabinet (hereinafter referred to as Installation), which is researched and designed by Ministry of Power Industry and Ministry of Machine-Building Industry according to the requirement of industrial administrative department, power user and design unit on the basis of Chinese situation, owns high technical performance and is adapted to development requirement of electric power market, it’s as well competitive with imported product. This installation passed the appraisal held by the two ministries in July of 1996 in Shanghai and it has obtained recognition from both manufacturers and power consumption departments.The Ministry of Power Industry and Ministry of Machine-Building Industry has issued Notice for Related Problems on Popularization & Application of CGCS Low Voltage Drawout Switch Cabinet under No. [1997] 01 power safety production and machinery documentation. At present, the CGCS type low voltage drawout switch cabinet has been widely used. This installation is suitable for power distribution system in power plant, petroleum industry, chemical industry, metallurgy, extile, high building etc. It’s mainly used as low voltage complete power distribution installation for power distribution,motor central control and reactive power compensation in AC Three-phase 50(60) Hz power generation and transmission system with rated operation voltage of 380V (440V and 660V) and rated current of 4000A or below in large-scale power plant and petrochemical system where demands high automation and computer port.

4.Main Structure

1.8MF type open steel section is adopted for the main framework, the two sides of steel section has Φ9.2 mm mounting holes with 20 mm and 100 mm module respectively, the internal installation is flexible and convenient.2.Three are two assembly types of framework, namely, full assembly and partial (side cabinet and crossbeam) welding structure, either of which can be selected by user.3. Each functional compartment of the installation is separate to each other, there are functional unit compartment, busbar compartment, able compartment. The function of each compartment is independently.4. The horizontal bus-bar is horizontally arranged at the back of cabinet to strength resistance of bus-bar to the electrodynamic force, it’s a basic measurement to make high short circuit strength performance of the main circuit.5.The design of cable compartment makes it very convenient for inlet and outlet of cable.6.See the following table for the body size of the installation

5.Function Unit

1.The module of drawer height is 160mm. There are five size series including 1/2 unit, 1 unit, unit, 2 units and 3-units. The rated current of single circuit is 400A or below.2.The height size of the drawer can be changed, while the depth and width of that can’t be changed. The drawers in the same functional unit have good interchangeability.3 .At most eleven 1-unit or twenty-two 1/2 unit drawers can be installed for each MCC cabinet.4. Slice structure connectors with the same specification and not same slices are used according to high or low current of inlet and outlet wire of drawer.5. Backboard type ZJ-2 change-over part is used for the changing over of 1/2 unit drawer and cable compartment.6. The bar type or pipe type ZJ-1 change-over part of the same specification is used for changing over of unit drawer and able according to different current.7.There are obvious marks in Off, On and test position on the drawer panel.8.There’s a mechanical interlocking device set in the drawer unit.

 6. Main Electric Element

1.YKM1, CM1 and AH series, other series with higher performance or imported M series, F series can be selected as circuit breaker of power supply and feeder unit. AH series circuit breaker owns good performance, compact structure, light weight and high character. With low price and convenient maintenance, each performance of it can meet the requirement of this installation.2. CM1, YKM1, TG and TM30 series moulded case circuit breaker can be selected for drawer unit (motor control unit, partial feeder unit), NZM-100A is used for part of it. All of the circuit breakers have good performance, compact structure,short arc or no arc, high technological and economical performance character, which meets the requirement of this installation

3. Q series can be selected for disconnecting switch and fuse-disconnector. It owns good reliability and high breaking capacity, it can also realize mechanical interlocking.4.NT series is preferred for the fuse.

7.Character of Installation

1. The higher thermal capacity of change-over part can greatly reduce the temperature rise of connector, cable head and separation plate brought by that of change-over part .2.The separation of each function unit is obvious and reliable, the compartments can work normally even one of them has fault, which restricts the effect of fault to the minimum range.3. Horizontal arrangement bus-bar makes it a good dynamic and thermal stability of installation, it can withstand 80/176kA short current impulse.4.There can be 22 circuits in MCC cabinet at most, which fully considers the requirement of automated door or motor group in industries like high one machine capacity power plant and petrochemical system.5.The installation and external cables can be connected in the cable compartment, it’s available for cable inlet and outlet.The zero sequence current transformer is placed in the cable compartment, which make it convenient for maintenance.6.For the power distribution system of the same power supply, the short circuit can be restricted through current limiting reactor match to stabilize the bus-bar voltage within specific range and reduce the requirement to short circuit strength of element.7.There sufficient secondary connectors in the drawer unit (32 couples for 1 unit and above, 20 couples for 1/2 unit),which can satisfy the contact quantity required by computer port and self-control circuit.

 8. Installation& Operation

1.After the product gets to product receiving destination, firstly, check whether the package are kept well withoutdamage, notify related department if problem is found and make the business record well, analyze the reason and deal with problems arising well.2.For product that is not installed at once, place it in proper position according to normal application condition andtemporary storage regulation for electric apparatus.3.The installation of product shall be in accordance with schematic diagram(see figure 1 to 3). The foundation channel steel or bolt shall be offered by user himself. The bus-bar shall be connected and firmed after it’s made flat when the busbar isn’t flat due to due to transportation and storage etc.4.When the installation is installed singly or in row, the tolerance for the verticality as well as degree of irregularity ofcabinet surface and clearance of cabinets shall conform to the regulation in following table.
